Pick Your Brain is a free live Q&A tool for team meetings. This page explains, plainly, what we do and don't collect. It's a draft summary — review it with your own counsel before relying on it for compliance.

No accounts

There is no sign-up. Hosts and participants never create an account, and we don't collect names, emails, or passwords. A host link carries a secret token in the URL; that token is the only credential.

What gets stored

When a room is active we store, in our database, only what the room needs to work: the room code and title, the questions you submit (with an optional nickname you choose to enter), upvote tallies, and emoji reactions. Participants are identified only by a random, per-browser id stored locally in your own browser — used solely to remember which questions you upvoted.

Anonymous by default

Questions are anonymous unless you choose to type a nickname. Even with a nickname, we have no way to tie it back to you — there is no account, email, or device identifier behind it.

No tracking or analytics

We don't run third-party analytics, advertising pixels, or cross-site tracking on this site today.

Data retention

Questions and rooms persist so a host can revisit a meeting's Q&A. Emoji reactions are ephemeral and are automatically removed within minutes. Rooms created for one-off meetings can be cleared by the host by ending the session.
